Searching For A Leader

APEX, N.C. -

The newly formed Apex Community Band is looking for a leader.

Half a dozen band members will soon have instruments in their hands but they need a musical director. Bob Crowley with the Apex Arts Council said they hope to begin rehearsals in the next few weeks. Their first performance will be at the Salem Street Arts Festival in October.

Crowley said the band is a volunteer organization that will add to the culture of downtown.
